Epson Chip Resetters - Ink Cartridge Chip Re-setters for use with Epson Original Ink Cartridges. Epson Ink Refills - When the Epson Cartridge says that you have no ink left - you do!!! With a chip re-setter you can simply get the printer to use the maximum amount of ink from a cartridge OR if you are refilling the ink cartridge you will have to re-set the chip on the side of the cartridge so that it is able to print again? Why do Epson put chips
onto there ink cartridges? Does it make them any better than the cartridges that
they used to produce without them - honestly we don't know why they do it -
other than
perhaps to try and discourage manufacturers of compatible ink cartridge from
making their products.
Once activated, The Chip Resetter will Re-program the chip on the cartridge, telling it to show a "full" level of ink. You can also use the Chip Resetter to enable you to effectively use up all the ink in your cartridge. How to use the Reset Chip Resetter device: 1. Hold the Chip Resetter, so that the two (green and red) lights are facing upwards. 2. Turn the cartridge upside down so that the outlet holes are also facing upwards. 3. Locate the cartridge into the appropriate slots of the Chip Resetter. This should locate the prongs from the Chip Resetter against the chip. (You will need to use the L shape lug, which detaches from the Chip Resetter for the C70, C80, C82 and 5200). 4. Push the cartridge and the Chip Resetter together. 5. Both lights will flash once simultaneously, then the green light will flash five times to show that chip is reprogrammed. 6. If the red light flashes it may mean either, the prongs are not in line with the chip, or the cartridge you are reprogramming is not an original EpsonŽ Inkjet Compatible. 7. You may now proceed with refilling your cartridge as per instructions in your refill kit. Earlier Epson Chipped Cartridges with 7 Pins The 7 Pin Contact Re-setter is required for any EpsonŽ cartridges that are equipped with the IntellidgeŽ Chip. Once activated, The 7 Pin Contact Re-setter will Re-program the chip on the cartridge, telling it to show a "full" level of ink. You can also use the 7 Pin Contact Re-setter to enable you to effectively use up all the ink in your cartridge. How to use the 7 Pin Contact Re-setter: 1. Both lights will flash once simultaneously, then the green light will flash five times to show that chip is reprogrammed. 6. If the red light flashes it may mean either, the prongs are not in line with the chip, or the cartridge you are reprogramming is not an original EpsonŽ or a JR Inkjet Compatible. 7. You may now proceed with refilling your cartridge as per instructions in your refill kit.NEWER EPSON INK CARTRIDGES - T0711 Series, T0791 Series, T0801 Series The newer Epson Inkjet Cartridges require 9 Chip Resetters which work with all Epson ink cartridges includingT0711/2/3/4 For these newer models you need to use it in a slightly
different way to the others - this product will reset the chips on genuine Epson
T0711, T0712, T0713, T0714, T0801, T0802, T0803, T0804, T0805 & T0806 cartridges
but the you will need to reset your cartridges before the ink level goes below
around 40-50%. This is because, on a genuine Epson cartridge, there is a sensor
behind the chip that is always immersed in the ink. If the cartridge is empty or
low then air will have reached the sensor and it will render the cartridge
permanently unrecognisable after resetting. Resetting the cartridge at 40% ink
level or above will keep the sensor immersed in ink and therefore stop the
cartridge from being rejected. Just place over the chip and wait for the green light! Comes with battery installed and is ready to use. Lasts for around 100 resets. IMPORTANT INFORMATION We cannot guarantee that it will reset all brands of compatible's but does work with Epson original ink cartridges and our own compatibles. There are many reasons to buy from us - mostly though people buy from us year on year because we consistently offer the very highest quality at the very best prices.
